Hi Dean – You are required to have an Operators Licence for vehicles with over 8 passenger seats if you are using the Minibus for Hire and Reward, here is a link which should give you some more information on how to apply for one and what you need to do etc, hope this helps and good luck with your Private Hire business.

Hi, iv just come out of the armed forces and want to run a minibus private hire service, iv booked in to do my psv but could you tell me if i need an operaters licence and what is that, also a general price i would be paying for a £5000 15 seater bus transit insurance, thanks for your help, Dean
